Luxury Car Hire Luxembourg Airport
Luxembourg Airport is a luxurious facility and the car rental services on the ground are equally luxurious. As a first-time visitor to Luxembourg, this airport will be the first place where you can hire a luxury car for your ground transportation. The fact that Luxembourg is a landlocked country in Europe should not make you fear visiting the place.
That is only one minor fact that should not inform your decisions in any way. Despite being small, it is very big in terms of the attractions that you will get to see with a hired luxury car. Bear in mind that some of the attractions in Luxembourg are in remote areas so you have to hire a car that will penetrate to such places.
Choose right car
A 4-wheel drive will probably be the best option if you are going to hilly, rocky and muddy places but that is not the only option available. Car rentals in Luxembourg will always give you room to choose a car that you want and they will advise on which one suits going to which place. They have market experience and understanding so listen to their advice.
It will be wrong to hire a luxury car only to realize that it can’t take you to the place where you are heading to. After doing due diligence and you have settled for the ideal luxury car, you can get out visiting some of the following attractions in Luxembourg:
- The Casemates Bock - these are more of underground fortifications that form a network that is worth watching. It is believed to have been constructed in the 18th century and is today listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
- Neumunster Cathedral - this is an old church built using very ancient architecture. It attracts many tourists daily.
- World War II Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial - its open daily with exception of Christmas and New Year day festivities when its closed. More than 5000 American military officers are buried at the cemetery.
- The Kirchberg - this is the area where you will find European institutions like banks, courts and parliament. Some of these buildings were constructed by popular architects and they stand out very well.
Apart from these, there are more attractions that you will get to enjoy in Luxembourg during your visit. As you drive your luxury car to any of these attraction sights, you need to be very wary because driving is a very serious thing in the country. If you break any of the traffic laws, you will find yourself paying heavy fines or ending up in jail.
Speed limits
There is good development of the local infrastructure so don’t expect to experience big challenges when driving around. When driving in villages and towns, you are required to observe a maximum speed of 50 km/h but in open country roads you can drive for up to 90 km/h. If you are using a motorway, the speed limit is 130 km/h. There will be random checks by police officers to enforce these speed limits so be very careful.
